1. Who we are
Automate Leads is provided by Bolt Business Limited (company number 16864050), registered at 14 Museum Place, Cardiff, Wales, CF10 3BH (“we”, “us”). These terms apply when a business (“you”) subscribes to Automate Leads. You confirm you are acting for a business, not as a consumer.
2. The service
Automate Leads provides an AI-powered telephone receptionist that answers calls to a phone number we provide (or that you forward to it), answers questions using the information you give us, takes messages and callback requests, books appointments in the calendar you connect, and sends notifications and messages.
- The receptionist is an automated system. It may occasionally misunderstand a caller. You remain responsible for your business, your prices and your dealings with your customers.
- The receptionist only uses the information you provide. Keep your services, prices, hours and policies accurate.
- The service is not an emergency service and must not be relied on to handle emergencies. Safety guidance it gives callers is general and directs them to the appropriate emergency services.
3. Phone numbers
UK phone numbers are subject to Ofcom rules. You must provide accurate verification information so a number can be issued in your name. Numbers remain the property of our telecoms provider, are provided for use with the service only, and are released when your subscription ends (after the grace period in section 6). Numbers cannot be transferred out except where we agree in writing.
4. Your responsibilities
- Use the service lawfully, including data protection, PECR (electronic marketing) and consumer law.
- Only enable call recording where you have a lawful basis and are content for callers to be informed at the start of each call.
- Do not use the service for unsolicited marketing, unlawful, harmful or abusive purposes.
- Keep your login details secure and tell us promptly about any unauthorised access.
5. Fees and usage
The subscription fee for each plan is shown on our pricing page (currently from £30 per month) and is charged monthly in advance by card through our payment provider, Stripe. Each plan includes an allowance of call minutes and messages. You can change plan at any time from your dashboard: a move to a more expensive plan takes effect immediately, the price difference for the rest of the current billing period is charged straight away, and that period’s allowance increases in proportion; a move to a cheaper plan takes effect at the start of the next billing period. Minutes beyond the allowance are charged at the overage rate shown on the pricing page, in arrears, up to the monthly spend cap you set; once the cap is reached, new calls are sent to voicemail until the next billing period (a call already in progress is allowed to finish, so the final charge can exceed the cap by up to one call’s minutes). Fees exclude VAT where applicable. We may change prices with at least 30 days’ notice.
Free trial. New customers get a free trial of the length shown at sign-up, including 30 call minutes and 20 messages. We take your card details at sign-up but do not charge them. When the trial ends, your subscription starts and we charge your card the monthly fee for your plan unless you have cancelled. We will email you at least 3 days before your first payment. Your first payment will not be taken until your phone number has been live for at least 3 days. If your number is not live within 14 days of sign-up, your trial ends and you are not charged. Once the trial’s call minutes are used, calls go to voicemail until your subscription starts. You can start your subscription early from your dashboard.
6. Cancellation and grace period
You can cancel at any time from your dashboard. If you cancel during a free trial you will not be charged, and the service and your number end when the trial ends, with no grace period. Otherwise service continues to the end of the paid period. If your subscription ends (including for non-payment), the service continues for a grace period of 7 days, after which calls stop and your number is released permanently. We may suspend the service immediately for non-payment after reasonable notice, misuse or a breach of these terms.
7. Data protection
For personal data about your callers and customers, you are the controller and we are your processor. Our data processing terms in the appendix below apply. Our privacy policy explains how we handle personal data about you.
8. Third-party services
The service relies on third parties including Twilio (telephony and messaging), OpenAI (speech and language AI), Stripe (payments), and any booking system you connect (such as Google Calendar or Square). Their availability is outside our control. Integrations are only offered where the provider permits API access.
9. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care but do not guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss of profit, revenue, business or data, or any indirect loss, and our total liability in any 12-month period is limited to the fees you paid in that period. Nothing limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
10. General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. Contact us at bolt70business@gmail.com.
